“Morinaga Amazake Moisturizing Hand Cream” is one of the collaborative products between Morinaga Amazake and Chanson Cosmetics, released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its launch.
Based on the concept that “beauty and food share the same roots,” this skincare line was developed to provide busy women with a convenient way to hydrate their skin and maintain beauty and health—much like amazake, which is known for its excellent nutritional balance.
You could say it’s a hand cream version of Morinaga Amazake.
The rich, moisturizing properties of amazake—a fermented beverage rich in glucose, vitamins, and amino acids—have been incorporated into this skincare line through a special collaboration.
The collaboration cosmetics line includes four products: bath salts, soap, hand cream, and gel cream.

The hand cream features the same design as Morinaga Amazake.
We’ve used the red color of Morinaga Confectionery’s Red Can Amazake as the color for the hand cream case.
The design on the side of the hand cream case features the Morinaga Amazake logo and white plum blossoms. It’s really cute.
My thoughts on using the hand cream
When you open the lid of the bright red hand cream, you’ll find a snow-white cream inside, just like Morinaga Amazake.
Although this cream does not have the scent of amazake, it contains amazake extract, which is rich in glucose, vitamins, and amino acids.
This hand cream has a light, airy texture; when applied to the hands, it leaves them feeling moisturized without being greasy, making it very easy to use.
The empty case is so cute that I use it as a jewelry case when I travel.
