Morinaga “Amazake Powder Type”

Here’s an introduction to Morinaga’s “Amazake Powder Type.”

“Amazake Powder Type” is an amazake made from a blend of rice koji and sake lees.

This powdered amazake dissolves quickly and easily in both hot and cold water.

It also introduces delicious ways to enjoy amazake.
- Add boiling water or water (about 100 ml) to 2 teaspoons (about 10 g).
- Please stir well with a spoon.
- Feel free to add ginger, lemon juice, or other ingredients to suit your taste.
- Amazake made with a double-fermented blend of sake lees and rice koji
- Powder Type
Morinaga is a company engaged in the manufacturing, procurement, and sale of confectionery (such as caramel, biscuits, and chocolate), food products (such as cocoa and cake mixes), frozen desserts (such as ice cream), and health products (such as jelly drinks).

The packaging is modeled after the design of Morinaga Confectionery’s red-can amazake.

The entire large bag is red, and the design featuring scattered white plum blossoms is very cute. It features an illustration of amazake.

When I opened the large bag, I found a milky white amazake powder inside that was almost white.
My thoughts on drinking amazake

I put 2 teaspoons of amazake powder into a cup.

I added 100 ml of boiling water, stirred it well with a spoon, and my drinkable amazake was ready.

When I poured in the hot water and stirred it with a spoon, the aroma of Morinaga’s amazake wafted through the air.

When I took a sip, I noticed that this amazake had a more subtle aroma and flavor than the one in the red can.

I thought, “That’s amazing!” that they were able to recreate the flavor of drinkable amazake so well with powdered amazake.
