IZU FERMENTE “Kinta-kun Pure Amazake”
IZU FERMENTE “Kinta-kun Pure Amazake”

Here’s an introduction to Izu Fermente’s “Kinta-kun Pure Amazake.”

“Kinta-kun Pure Amazake” is a concentrated amazake made from rice koji.

When drinking concentrated amazake, dilute it with water.

It also includes instructions on how to make amazake.
- When reheating
- Add one packet of this product and about 400 ml of water or hot water to a pot, and bring to a gentle boil while stirring well to prevent sticking.
- Adding freshly squeezed ginger juice enhances the flavor and makes it even more delicious.
- When chilling
- Simply add about 350 ml of water, chill it, and enjoy it as sweet rice drink.
- Also, as mentioned above, if you let the warmed amazake cool, it will thicken and taste even better.
- It tastes great when diluted with milk or soy milk, and it also becomes more nutritious.
- When heating (or cooling) a single serving
- Pour a little less than half a teacup of amazake into a teacup, cover it with plastic wrap, microwave it for about 30 seconds until the surface becomes slightly bubbly, then add hot water (or plain water), stir, and enjoy.
- The container will become hot, so please handle it with care to avoid burns.

This amazake is a non-alcoholic beverage made without sugar, using the natural saccharification power of rice koji and water from the Mount Fuji-Hakone watershed in Japan.

The term “Kinta-kun” in the product name refers to the illustration of Kintarō in the upper-left corner of the package.

The amazake mix comes in a large, transparent bag shaped like a drawstring pouch.

The red and gold colors give the large bag a vibrant design.
My thoughts on drinking amazake

I poured just enough amazake from the large bag into a pot to make a drink.

I made it by diluting the amazake with twice as much water.

I turned off the heat just before it came to a boil, poured it into a cup, and my drinkable amazake was ready.

When I take a sip, it’s an old-fashioned amazake with a strong flavor and sweetness from rice koji.

The amazake I made had little grains of rice in it, and I really enjoyed the texture of the rice grains.
